In 2013, the Derry Girls Lacrosse Club established a Scholarship program to help local students who participated in or assisted as a volunteer for the DGLC. To be eligible, an applicant must be a graduating senior from Pinkerton Academy and plan to pursue a postsecondary education. Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding scholastic, athletic and leadership skills while having participated in school sports, extra-curricular, and community service activities.
Scholarship applications are available on the DGLC website under the Documents Tab and winners are announced each May.
DGLC is able to offer these scholarships because of the generosity of our members, corporate sponsors and our affiliation with the Derry Youth Lacrosse Association.
